  • Football fans are to get more with T-Mobile Relax tariffs, which offer exclusive Euro 2004 content

T-Mobile UK launches its UEFA EURO 2004 advertising campaign as the next phase of its innovative ‘Relax – Its OK to Call’ advertising campaign. The advertising focuses on T-Mobile’s drive to create a set of simple to use and transparent tariffs with added value content and services whilst exploiting its investment in one of this year’s top sporting events.

The 30-second execution opens on a UEFA EURO 2004TM football, carrying the official tournament logo being held by a pair of legs. As the shot pulls back, an unseen footballer begins to skilfully perform a range of football tricks. As the camera pulls back further it becomes apparent that the footballer is in fact lying down: what the viewer assumes is a front-on camera angle is in fact side-on.

The camera pulls back completely to reveal that the footballer’s head is resting on a magenta cushion, mirroring previous Relax executions, and he is also having a conversation on a Motorola V300 mobile phone.

The voiceover focuses on T-Mobile’s premier UEFA EURO 2004TM tariff, Everyone 200 Full Time, which offers subscribers an extra 90 minutes of talk time, 50 free texts and a range of free Euro competition themed add-ons such as wallpapers, ringtones and a game. *

A heavy weight TV campaign launches in the UK on 7th May. The advertisements will run during every UEFA EURO 2004TM match aired on ITV 1. A supporting print campaign will target outdoor advertising sites and print media. In addition, T-Mobile’s deal with IRN Newslink, gives T-Mobile exclusive rights to dedicated UEFA EURO 2004TM news bulletins across every major commerical radio group in the UK.**
