London, UK 6th December, 2005:  Today T-Mobile announces the launch of the MDA Compact II – the ‘Pink Lady’ of PDAs and perfect companion for busy, high-flying women.  The MDA Compact II is a refresh of the extremely popular MDA Compact, now boasting the latest mobile software and available in two chic new colours – graphite and metallic pink.

The MDA Compact II has been specifically designed for ‘social-butterflies’ who need to keep track of their busy social calendar, stay in touch with friends and want the latest, must-have fashion accessories.

Now available on T-Mobile’s new web‘n’walk™ tariff, the MDA Compact II allows you to be one step ahead and stay in touch with your friends. T-Mobile gives you easy access to the open internet and you can view web pages similar to viewing them on your PC.

CoPilot® Live 6 satellite navigation can also be purchased with the MDA Compact II, providing drivers with audible turn by turn directions, detailed street mapping and real time traffic alerts to make journeys easier. Featuring a 2.8” colour touch screen, the MDA Compact II is smaller and more lightweight than an average PDA device – meaning it will fit discreetly into the smallest of handbags without weighing you down. Combining a mobile phone, digital still and video camera, MP3 capabilities, internet and email access, diary and contacts, as well as Microsoft® applications you are familiar with – there is only one device worth carrying with you.

This aspirational new gadget offers a variety of features in a simple and stylish package and supports Microsoft® Windows Mobile 5.0 software, featuring Pocket Word, Excel and Windows Media Player – so you can work, email and play on the move.

The MDA Compact II has a 1.3 mega-pixel camera, with the ability to capture video footage as well as photos. The memory capacity has also been upgraded on this new device – now offering 128MB internal memory and supports an external SD card, so that you can save even more photos than before.

Phil Chapman, T-Mobile UK’s Marketing Director, said, “T-Mobile's Compact II is a fantastic device for the ladies - available in chic pink colour. The device offers all the functionality that a high-flying business woman or social butterfly needs while on the move.

“Customers can now keep their finger on the pulse wherever they are with full internet access using T-Mobile's new web'n'walk service with the device,  as well as email, satellite navigation and much more. T-Mobile believes the Compact II is a must have for year’s Christmas stocking."

The MDA Compact II will be available with a web‘n’walk pay monthly contract from £30 per month at T-Mobile stores nationwide and online at www.t-mobile.co.uk. The cost of the device is dependent on the price plan selected and the most a customer would pay is £139.99.
